Terms of Service

1. What pocketmix is

pocketmix (pocketmix.app) is a website with music-mixing lessons and a mix analyzer. You upload or drop an audio file and get plain-English feedback on your mix. Some lessons and the basic mix check are free. The paid membership unlocks the rest of the lessons and member features.

2. Accounts

You need an account (email address) to subscribe. Keep your login private and give us accurate details. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.

3. Membership and billing

Membership is a subscription that renews automatically: monthly at $9.9 or yearly at $89, until you cancel. Prices are shown in the checkout before you pay and may include local taxes.

Payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller of record: it charges you, collects and pays sales tax and VAT, and sends your receipt. Your payment details go to Paddle and never reach us. Paddle's own terms for buyers also apply to the purchase.

If we change a price, we will tell you before the change reaches your next renewal.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel any time. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and it will not renew. See the Refund Policy for refunds.

5. What you may do

Use pocketmix for your own learning and music. Please do not:

  • copy, resell or share the lessons or paid content outside your own account;
  • share your account with other people;
  • try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service;
  • upload audio you have no right to use.

6. Your audio

You keep all rights to the audio you analyze. The analysis runs in your browser, and you give us only the permission needed to process your audio so the analysis works. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Our content

The lessons, text, design and software on pocketmix belong to us or our licensors. Your membership gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them while your subscription is active.

8. What to expect from the analysis

The mix analyzer and lessons are educational tools. Genre targets are starting points, not rules, and results are not a guarantee of any outcome. The service is provided "as is", and we may change, pause or improve features over time.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the membership in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using pocketmix at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close a paying account without a breach on your part, we will refund the unused part of your current period.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will post it on this page and update the date above. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
